About Us

The Career Path Awards Committee oversees the Career Path Awards. These awards are available to selected graduating seniors from Columbus City Schools who are continuing their training for technical jobs and certifications in the trades, health care industry and other careers that do not require a four-year college degree. Awards are presented in May each year.

A Career Path Award winner receives a $2,500 check to pay for advanced training as well as equipment, tools, safety gear and other items necessary for success.

Mentoring is an important feature of the Career Path Awards program. Career Path Award winners are required to meet with a mentor from a sponsoring company and a Rotarian mentor at least twice from mid-March to April 30. The mentorship meeting can be virtual; however, an in-person introductory meeting scheduled by the school is encouraged.

An online application is available in  January. The deadline for submitting the electronic application is midnight, February 15.

2023 award winners will be recognized at the Student Service Above Self Fair and Luncheon on May 15, 2023 at Columbus State Community College.
