2018-2019 By The Numbers

Columbus Rotarians annually leverage their skills to improve the lives of people in our community, our country and our world.  As part of a global network of 1.2 million Rotarians in 38,000 clubs around the world, we are passionate about our commitment to 
"Service Above Self.”  This year: 
  • 5200 dictionaries handed to Columbus City School 3rd graders
  • 3,000 city high school & middle school students participated in community service
  • Hundreds of youth affected by Franklinton Youth Park ballfield maintenance
  • 250 students served during the 98th Annual Colerain Elementary Christmas Party
  • 100 trees planted at Greenlawn Cemetery
  • 35 students earned 1 college credit through our nationally recognized Enterprise Academy program
  • 34 new members introduced to Columbus Rotary
  • 30 Ohio State University military veteran students linked with Rotarian mentors
  • 27 College scholarships awarded to Columbus City School Students
  • 25 KIPP Columbus students exposed to hands on service
  • 20 College scholarships awarded to students in Lewisporte, Newfoundland
  • 15 families helped through the Childhood Cancer Family Connection Holiday Gift Program
  • 11 scholarships awarded to current non-traditional college students
  • 4 + 1 Youth Exchange students sent abroad and hosted locally
  • 3 meals prepared at the Ronald McDonald House for Nationwide Children’s Hospital patients
  • 2 afternoons spent at the Franklin County Animal Shelter making dog treats/toys
  • 1 new oven installed at Mara Rafiki orphanage, school, and farm in Nairobi, Kenya
Partnerships are maintained with The Columbus Foundation, The Osteopathic Heritage Foundation,
The Arnold Sports Festival, The Columbus City Schools, Franklin University, The Ohio State
University, Free to Smile, Engineers Without Borders, and others.
