“Ohio State’s Other National Champion” will outline OSU's successful $17M trademark licensing program, including highlights from the record-setting sales associated with the 2014 football championship. Rich will touch on revenue generation, how they support the student experience at Ohio State, and how they protect OSU's trademarks.
As an Assistant Vice President for Business Advancement, Rick Van Brimmer oversees coordination of the many affinity and sponsorship-related contracts at The Ohio State University. The position was created in response to continued innovations in outreach and business advancement activities by the university. He also oversees the university’s successful international licensing program, merchandising activities for Athletic venues, and is responsible for coordinating Ohio State’s corporate social responsibility programming for licensees.

Congratulations to new member Mamadou Boro who's wife gave birth to their first child on June 14, 2015. Malala Anne Boro was arrived weighing 7lbs 6ox and 20 inches. Mom and daughter are doing well. You may recall that when he introduced himself to the Club on June 1 he mentioned that they were expecting.
As we approach the new Rotary year, starting July 1, each Rotarian is encouraged to join a Club committee. Watch for a committee brochure to tell you about each group and contact information for their leadership. A hand out sheet will be available over the next several weeks to sign up for these committees to help you to pursue your interests. Sign up sheets can be turned in on Monday's or to the office.

On June 6, 2015 a small but mighty band of warriors took on the Columbus Rotary Obstacle Course in the inaugural Crawl. Climb. Run. Rotarians Eric O'Brien and Libby Graf finished first as a team of two. The children of Rotarian Scott Barber finished first out of the teams with four members. Fun was had by all!

We have another Young Professional coming this summer. If you will recall last summer we had a young engineer visit during the summer; pictured here.
Our new visitor is Mariona who is from Spain. She is interested in Biology and Genetics. She will be with our club from July 7-18. We are looking for host families who would like to show her around Columbus and we also are looking for opportunities to observe in her field of interest.
