Dr. Bill Wulf, President
Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians

Dr. William Wulf, medical director of Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians Inc., was elected by directors Thursday as the next CEO of the region’s largest independent physician practice.

Wulf, an internal medicine physician, was a founding member of Central Ohio Primary Care in 1996 and has been its corporate medical director since 2007. He graduated from Medical College of Ohio in 1985.

The group of 250 doctors at 50 offices in four counties is projected to end this year with $130 million in revenue. They recently opened an expansion at their first campus, on Olentangy River Road in northwest Columbus.

Committee Meetings, July 25, 2016

Adopt A School @ 1:15
Vocational Service @ 1:15

Please use another room/area of the Boat House for your committee meeting!
Do not meet in our luncheon room if at all possible.
New Member Amanda Bowen introduced a new Community Service initiative; Backpacks for Foster Children last week at Rotary.  Typically children in the foster program are given trash bags as they move throughout the system.  As you can imagine, their self worth is associated with these trash bags.

Over the next several weeks the club will be collecting NEW student backpacks and small suitcases to distribute to youth in the Franklin County area through a partnership with Franklin County Children's Services.  FCCS serves over 3,800 youth in foster care. Drop off your backpacks at a Monday meeting or at the office.  Our goal is to collect 100 backpacks and we are 1/3 there already.  For more information contact Amanda at

Thanks to all whom have taken the opportunity to volunteer to assist at a Monday meeting.  If you choose not to, or can't, no worries.  New member Evan DuBro introduced the office to Sign Up Genius, which has greatly assisted in this process.

 The following members and their families need your cares, concerns and prayers.

Rotarian JoAnne Schorsten took a spill from a ladder over the Independence Day weekend.  She burst a vertebrae and cracked 2 more.  There is no damage to the spinal cord, but three months in a back brace are expected.

Rotarian Jerry Converse had knee replacement surgery July 12 in New Albany.

Rotarian Galen Graham had hip replacement surgery July 13.

Rotarian Diane Lease's father has moved to hospice.  Prayers are appreciated.

You are urged to reach out to these members individually if you choose.  Their contact information can be found online or on our app.
If you are aware of news that should be shared here please contact the club office.

Annual CGWE Mission Trip
Be the change that you want to see in this world
Don’t just travel the world, change it!

Join us on a journey you will never forget. We invite you to meet the women of Oromia, Ethopia, and experience God’s love as it pours out of them, despite the desperately poor conditions they live in.
On our trip, we will:

  • visit CGWE beneficiaries;
  • celebrate the circle of life and giving, and the tradition of dabaree, as the first-born calf from each GCWE-gifted cow is given to a woman on CGWE’s waiting list;
  •  distribute donated clothes and eyeglasses;
  • provide personal hygiene training and basic items such as soap, combs and washcloths;
  • encourage the tradition of teamwork (dabo) so that the beneficiaries can help each other as needed; and
  • educate and train about harmful traditional practices and other forms of violence against women and girls, such as female genital mutilation.

Trip Date: Mid-March, tentatively scheduled for March 7 – 19,   2017
Total cost: $2,500 per person.
Travel immunizations and malaria medications are needed for your trip. To apply for CGWE’s short-term mission trip, contact Dureti (Mimi) Tadesse or (614) 441-1020.
The first trip informational meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 9th at7:00pm.
