Franklinton Youth Park Clean Up

Please join your Columbus Rotary family and friends this Saturday, June 17th from 9am to noon at the Franklinton Youth Park located at Central Ave and Town St. We will clean the fence line, oil ball gloves and do some general cleanup. All equipment will be provided just bring your favorite work gloves.

This is a great opportunity to participate and share with others the good that our club does in our community. Bring your neighbors, friends, prospective members, family and kids. We'll fire up the grill afterward and enjoy some burgers and dogs. Which means for those Rotarians that aren't up to "cleaning a fence line" we could still use your help cheering us on and also help with other important things like manning the coolers and grill.

This is what Rotary is all about. Please make every effort to participate. Thank you all in advance, TheCRCSC (The Columbus Rotary Community Service Committee)

(Please direct any questions or concerns via email to or text/call to 614-300-0833.)

Date: 06/17/2017 (Sat.)

Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm EDT

Location: Franklinton Youth Park

The Atlanta Convention is almost upon us, but it is also time to start thinking ahead to next year and the Rotary International Convention in Toronto, Canada June 23-27, 2018.  Toronto is a beautiful city and luckily for us, only a short drive from central Ohio; the average driving time is 6 1/2 hours.
2018 Rotary International Convention in Toronto.
The reason we are contacting you now about Toronto is to give you adequate time to take advantage of the Early Registration Fee, which will only be $295. This fee price will only be available June 10th thru the 14th, 2017. A very small window, during the International Convention in Atlanta. On June 15th, the registration fee will increase to $335.00.

You can register online at

Our June 26th meeting of Columbus Rotary will be dedicated to our traditional Changing of the Guard ceremony at which President Jack Graf will turn the leadership of our club over to President Elect Paul Blevins. You are cordially invited to attend a reception in honor of President Jack and President Elect Paul at 11:00 AM. The reception will be held in the Buckeye Room at the Boat House at Confluence Park. Our luncheon meeting will commence its regularly scheduled time.

We are fortunate to have numerous projects, activities and events in Columbus Rotary.  And we like to talk about them all on Monday's. Having timely information about these activities, and any announcements, has become a bit difficult to manage of late due to members calling the office late on Friday, over the weekend, or when they arrive at Rotary, needing time on the agenda.

Starting now and as we move into the new Rotary Year on July 1 a new "policy" has been implemented by staff.  If you have an announcement, spotlight, video, PowerPoint, et. al. to be presented at the next Monday Rotary meeting; all information must arrive to the Executive Director by close of business Thursday prior to any meeting.  If your material, or request, arrives later than Thursday EOB the staff reserves the right to delay the presentation to the next available date.

This will allow the agenda to be completed on Friday.  It will allow any electronic media to be loaded and tested before the meeting.  It will allow the Executive Director to focus on the speaker and new members.  Finally, the meetings will run more smoothly.

Thank you for your understanding.

Our Third Annual Member Guest Golf Invitational is set for Friday, September 29 at the Safari Golf Club.
It includes a dinner and awards for $70 per person.
This gathering is designed to provide an opportunity for our members to bring guests to experience Columbus Rotary fun and fellowship in person. Even without golf there will be dinner and camaraderie.  You can join us for a meal if you don't want to golf!
It has proven itself as a wonderful way to expose people you think would benefit from being associated within our Club. Membership has its privileges and this is but one of them.
Watch for a sign up table on Monday's.  Members will help register both you and your guests for the golf. They can also help with pairings if need be.
Thanks for participating in this opportunity to continue our upward momentum.
