We’re excited to announce that we are once again conducting a February Matching Points Campaign to increase your points towards your next Paul Harris Fellow recognition or to donate them to another individual. The District will match your contributions to The Rotary Foundation Annual Fund (SHARE) or PolioPlus Fund through February 29th with up to 1,000 points (on a one-point-for-each-one-dollar basis).

2019 ROTARIAN of the YEAR
Congratulations to our 2019 Rotarian of the Year, Steve Sundre.
In a time honored ceremony on January 27 Steve was surprised with this annual award.  Friends and family, especially wife Rosie, joined in the surprise.
One nominator had the following to say regarding Steve, “This Rotarian’s professional management and stewardship of the club’s effort
is exceptional.  They are always well prepared, for any of their duties. They handle delicate matters with professionalism and grace.”

Call for scholarship applicants
Rotarian -
We would like your help getting the word out to potential Phoenix Scholarship Candidates.  Phoenix scholars are returning students, who have faced some challenges and could use a scholarship to an accredited college or program. They need to be local students.   Where would you find a Phoenix? In your place of worship, your work, or other organizations where you volunteer.
How can you help?

Building Peace in Our Neighborhoods with Youth
"Building Peace in Our Neighborhoods with Youth"
10AM-2PM on March 28, 2020 at New Salem Church
Columbus Rotary’s 3rd annual Forum to Action Peace Event will be held on Saturday March 28th.  This year, not only New Salem, but also the United Way, the Neighborhood Leadership Academy and the YMCA are collaborating with us to create a program that is geared towards facilitating constructive relationships and activities by local neighborhood leaders of Near East, Linden, Southside & Hilltop.
The 2021 Rotary Peace Fellowship application is now available, and Rotary needs your help finding the next cohort of global peace and development leaders.  Rotary International is encouraging club members to use their professional and social contacts to find potential candidates. They can also support the program by coaching candidates through the application process and connecting them to districts that can endorse their applications, a required step in the application process.

Candidates have until 31 May to submit applications to their districts. Districts have until 1 July to submit endorsed applications to The Rotary Foundation.
