A FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY

This time we are putting $ in our own pocket and that of the Columbus Rotary Foundation.

By now you should have received several invites via Sign Up Genius to assist with raffle ticket sales on October 10 at the Columbus Crew game.  THey will be playing Cincinnati FC and the game is sold out against this new in-state rival!  Starting at 5:00 PM we need 10 or more volunteers to sell raffle tickets until half time.  After that, you are free to leave or better yet enjoy the remainder of the game.

Bring a friend or family member.  Have fun.  Help Rotary.  You get into this premier event free.  We need at least 6 more volunteers by Monday, July 29 or we have to cancel.  Call Scott or sign up today via the last email.

WEST LAFAYETTE ROTARY

On Monday, President John announced that the West Lafayette Rotary Club is reaching out for assistance to help their flood ridden village.  140 homes have been affected and they are seeking financial help from other clubs in 6690 to assist the homeowners and their community.  In an effort to assist, one Columbus Rotarian has challenged members in our Club to donate $100 towards this emergency assistance need right here in our own District.  Funds will be collected Monday, July 29, or can be mailed to the Club office by August 1.  Cash, check and credit will be collected

ANGEL FUND CREATED

In May, the Club Board created an Angel Fund to help fellow members pay their dues at challenging times.  The Board felt that they would rather create this type of fund to help Rotarians that are making an impact upon the Club, rather than terminate them for lack of payment.

If you would like to contribute to the fund, contact Scott Brown at 614-221-3127.  Donors are able to direct their funds to a particular member if they choose.
