SECURITY ALERT
Security Alert

The Club Leadership would like to alert you that there have been 3 incidents over the past 6 weeks of cars being broken into during our luncheons. These are smash and grab types of break-ins centered upon what is left visible within the car.

We have been working with the Boat House and their corporate management to address the matter. However- please take a moment before arriving at Rotary to secure your items in a location not visible outside your vehicle, or bring them inside with you.

NEWS COVERAGE
Thanks to the efforts of John Mariotti, Dennis Hetzel, Amanda Bowen and the rest of our Promotions Committee the Club has received quite a bit of media attention of late.  We had a number of reporters in the room for our two Honda presentations and also for Chief Justice O'Connor.  Their latest efforts showcased the Student Service Above Self Fair.

The Dispatch Article from Monday's program can be found HERE.  CONGRATULATIONS and Thanks!
Gracias!
Columbus Rotary had the opportunity to donate three of the seven Chromebooks to Ms Brown's Spanish Classroom. Over 70% of her students receive free or reduced lunches, so resources for the district are tight and "extras" like computers aren't a priority.  The budget has not yet allowed for technology to make its way to the language classrooms, but the need was there.  Says Ms. Brown, " I just got a student who has cerebral palsy and he would have such an easier time typing than writing. I’m thrilled to have a computer for him soon!"  After the Chromebooks were delivered, Ms. Brown followed up with this picture and note:  "The Chromebooks are up and running and are a huge help to us!  The kids took 10 mins making sure their letters in GRACIAS were the same sizes, font, and all centered :) thanks again!!"
