FISHING FELLOWSHIP

Woods and Water Committee has another opportunity for fellowship! Join us for a day of fishing on May 31 at Briarwood Club near Bellefontaine (a 45 min drive from Dublin) Fly-fish the trout streams, or “regular” fishing is available from a boat and banks of couple of designated streams (BYO equipment).  Never tried fly-fishing? A few rods and reels available; lessons and guidance provided. Pay for the fish you keep (cleaned, ready to cook). Arrive around 11-ish. Bring your own lunch, snacks and beverages for a day’s end gathering at the gazebo at about 4:30. Contact Jackie Cooper for details, questions, and RSVP. 614.329.1894

P.S. A little birdie tells us there WILL BE FISH!)

ROTARY FLOAT TRIP
EASY Rotary Sunset Kayak trip
Downtown Columbus
Friday evening, June 21
Hope everyone had a fun Holiday Weekend! Now it’s on to the next summer adventure!

The plans for the Rotary Sunset Float Trip/Paddle are set. All you need to do is click the link below and buy your ticket. There is a map with parking directions. The parking lot is a little hard to find, but it has a fence around it, and you will see the large kayak trailers, and I will have gold and blue balloons. Some of us plan on having a little bite to eat in the parking lot as we await on everyone to arrive (bring your own). Then we’ll walk down the water and the guides will help us in the boats and we’ll begin our little trip!

Please sign up by Wednesday, June 5! They have made this a “private” event, but if for some reason we can’t fill the slots we will have to ask others (I got enough people who indicated they are interested).

Use this link for registration:
This will be an exclusive Rotary event if we have 25 participants. Let me know your intentions by May 13!
Guests Welcome! 614.329.1894, or 1jackcoop@gmail.com
Afterward, we’ll go to Franklinton and have an adult beverage at one of the breweries!

BRING YOUR GRADUATE TO ROTARY
At our Monday, June 17 luncheon, we are going to have our second annual "Rotary - Take a Grad to Lunch" event.   .  We will recognize the grads and their Rotary hosts from the podium (no speaking required), and we will include their names on a Powerpoint  presentation at the luncheon.   We'd like to know their names and schools in advance - so please let Galen Graham know (galengraham1@gmail.com).  We will also have a sign-up table at our June 10th luncheon.

Please bring a graduate with you to lunch that day - they can be a graduate from middle school, high school, college, a vocational program, or be starting or completing military service/training..  This will be a nice recognition of their accomplishments!  See you on the 17th!
CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations are in order for two of our members. Kathleen Lach-Rowan was voted one of the countries best wealth advisors and Trent Smith is being recognized for his tireless efforts in Franklinton.

FAMILY PICNIC

Imagine a warm and sunny day at the park with birds chirping, squirrels foraging, an the aroma of hamburgers sizzling on a hot grill.  Children are having fun playing games and exploring natural park wonders as adults mingle with fellow Rotarians and friends, play cards, or simply relax and share a meal.

Join us for the Rotary Family Picnic on Sunday, June 23 from noon to 3:00 PM at Scioto Audubon Metro Park.
Delicious food.  Games.  Music.  A few surprises.
Tickets are $15 for 18 or older
Under 18 free.

Tickets can be purchased each Monday through June 17.

YOUR DUES STATEMENT
Yes.  We mailed everyone a paper copy dues statement.  Yes.  This was intentional.

With the Club Board's April approval of the new dues structure it was determined to reach everyone where our message may have been missed, moved to spam, etc.  Future reminders regarding this invoice will be sent with a QuickBooks payment option.

All dues are based upon $600 per year and billed semi-annually.  (Other billing options can be arranged.) This figure includes drinks and desserts for those not selecting the prepaid lunch option.  Previously this amount was $712.

A Pre-Paid lunch option is available to every member and includes a discount.

An R85 discount applies progressively until one receives a 30% discount on Dues which is nearly identical to the R85 price today.

For those under 40 a 5% discount is applied to your dues for every year under 40 with a maximum 50% discount.  This decreases each year until you reach 40 and was designed to be a gradual increase to our base membership amount.

Rotar E members receive a 50% discount which is the same discount as current pricing.

Discounts that apply are based upon one's birthday and Rotary tenure.

A final option is provided for those that are willing and able to support the club as a sustaining member.  Sustaining members are encouraged to bring prospective members to Monday lunch and will receive Guest Passes as part of their Sustaining Membership.  Sustaining members voluntarily pay fees in addition to their ordinary dues.  The guest pass program was designed to introduce more individuals to Rotary on a regular basis and pays for the lunch of that guest.

There will be an annual 2% increase to the base dues each July as approved by the Club Board in 2015 or until the Club Board alters that policy.
