Melissa's House

Melissa’s House is a non-profit organization fueled by dedicated volunteers who understand that individuals struggling with mental illness are more than a disease.

Many have us have watched our sons, daughters, sisters, brothers, friends and neighbors struggle with a mental illness, ranging from depression to schizophrenia.

We understand that for many, a supportive, comfortable and nurturing environment will be critical to their recovery. Thus, we are focused on updating and renewing existing group residences with aesthetic changes in order to positively impact the well-being of those who live and work there. That is our goal, thereby restoring Hope.

About me:

Bill Hall has been on Melissa’s House board of trustees for four years and is currently President. His involvement in the mental health community stems from having close friends and family who struggle with mental health challenges and from wanting to break down stigmas associated with the disease. Bill is also a member of Tri Village Rotary Club, chairing the Committee Service and Grants committees.

About Jenny:

Jenny Schoning has been involved with Melissa’s House  for nearly 10 years and on the Board for the past four, currently Vice President.  She is a mental health advocate, volunteering with several Columbus mental health organizations to influence policy and support families with loved ones living with mental illness.
