THE FAMILY OF ROTARY

On the morning of January 21, 2018 Rotarian and Dr. John Thomas Bonner Jr. passed away peacefully at the age of ninety-six years. He was a brilliant man who cared deeply for his wife, his family, and his friends. He is survived by his wife, Betty; daughter-in-law, Janet; grandchildren, Adam, Scott and Amanda; great grandson, Daniel. He is preceded in death by his son John Brian. Dr. Bonner was a brilliant man that lived a very distinguished life in education that touched many families. He was a Field Artillery Captain in the U.S. Army during World War Two, a Purple Heart recipient, Vice President of Ohio State University, Vice President of education for Ohio Association of Realtors, President of Columbus Rotary, a Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army, a member of Beta Theta Pi, a professor, a businessman, an author, and an accomplished public speaker. He was the guiding light for his family and will be deeply missed. A private funeral service was held for family only at the Schoedinger Worthington Chapel.
