You should have recently received an email or letter from The Rotary (International) Foundation thanking you for a recent gift to the Annual Fund of The Rotary Foundation. This gift was made on your behalf by our own Columbus Rotary Club Foundation; as it has done the past several years. This year's total; $13.80. These funds are accumulated on your behalf by Rotary International and count toward the Paul Harris Fellowship (PHF) program. At this rate per year everyone will reach their PHF in about 72 years! Then again, you can make a donation to The Rotary Foundation at any time. Contact the office for more information.
PAUL SUTTER PhD, Visiting Scholar, Center for Cosmology and Astro-Particle Physics, Department of Physics "Outreaching for the Stars"
How do we engage audiences in the always-connected always-online world? I'll use examples from Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and my podcast series "Ask a Spaceman!" to show how astronomers are connecting with kids and adults with new technologies. And if you're curious about anything in space, now's the chance to ask!
Paul is an INFN Fellow in Theoretical Physics at the Astronomical Observatory of Trieste, Italy, and a Visiting Scholar at OSU. He received his PhD in Physics from the University of Illinois before spending three years at the Paris Institute of Astrophysics. He has traveled to over 40 countries to give scientific seminars and outreach talks on topics ranging from the largest structures in the universe to the reason dung beetles follow the Milky Way. He is the host of the podcast and YouTube series "Ask a Spaceman!", where he answers questions posted on social media in a lighthearted, conversational, and accessible way.

Spring is a time for change. We feel the change from cold to warm. We see the change from white to green.
And, here at Columbus Rotary we will be seeing some changes in our upcoming spring billing statement. Some of the changes represent increases to make up for the natural increase in club expenses and the lunches we get here at the Boathouse, but also some changes in the semantics of the bill.
