Applications Now Open for 2012 Phoenix Scholarship Program
Columbus Rotary offers a unique scholarship opportunity for non-traditional undergraduate students with good grades and the drive to change their lives and the lives of others.  The Phoenix Scholarship program is for those students who either did not qualify for scholarships following high school because of grades or entrance exam scores.  Phoenix Scholarships can also be for students who didn’t choose to pursue a college degree immediately following high school, or are finding themselves in need of “re-tooling” their careers to meet new demands of the 21st Century workforce.
To qualify, applicants must have completed at least 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours of coursework, be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at a college in Franklin County, have a minimum 2.75 GPA, and be a U.S. citizen, as well as either a permanent resident of the city of Columbus, a graduate of a Columbus Public High School, or have a child enrolled in Columbus Public Schools.
Deadline for applications is March 30, 2012.  All scholarships are for the 2012-2013 academic year and will be awarded directly to your college in July of 2012.
